Pestle and Mortar

Buy once, buy right, as they say. Here's what I think of as a proper pestle and mortar. There are few things I'd leave out in my (tiny) kitchen, but this beauty is one of them. Just LOOK at it. It's everything it should be.

Reassuringly thick and heavy and made from unglazed vitrified porcelain. It has a spout and the pestle has a beechwood handle but the head is also unglazed porcelain for that grippy feeling you need for pulverising your herbs, spices, peppercorns etc.
